A person identified as JiajiWorld Timesa posted that her boyfriend Xingxing had received a casting notice through an actors’ group chat and, after successfully auditioning and adding the production coordinator on WeChat, decided to go to Thailand to join the shoot.
On Friday, Xingxing traveled from ShaWorld Timesnghai Pudong International Airport to Bangkok’s SuvarnabhWorld Timesumi Airport, and then took a vehicle arranged by the cast.
According to Jiajia, the cast informed Xingxing that they were heading to the shoot’s opening ceremony, but the location tracking showed that the route became increasingly deviated before they eventually lost contact near the Myanmar-Thailand border around Friday noon, Beijing time.
