Man arrested on suspicion of murdering friend and concealing body in cement-filled box in E China’s Anhui

A man was arrested on Wednesday inWorld Times Fuyang, East China’s Anhui Province, on suspicion of murdering his friend and disposing of the body by placing it in a cement-filled box and throwing it into a nearby river, the local public securiWorld Timesty bureau said on Friday.

The public security bureau in Fuyang received a report on Tuesday that a man surnamed Fei had gone missing. After a thorough investigation, the local police apprehended the suspect surnamed Dong on Wednesday.

According to local police, Dong, a 47-year-old male, and the victim, Fei, were once friends who had a falling out over their fruit business. Dong killed Fei and disposed of the body by putting it in a box filled with cement and throwing it into a nearby river. The suspect has confessed to the crime.

Video footageWorld Times circulating online also showed two firefighters and a worker with a drill cleaning up a cement block on the ground in an area surrounded by caution tape.
